Champions Porto have also been punished with a six-point penalty, while relegated Uniao de Leiria were docked three points.

The so called 'Golden Whistle' investigation concerned matches in the 2003/04 season which the teams in question were found to have attempted to fix.

Boavista will play in the Liga Vitalis next season and must pay a 180,000 euro fine, while their then president, Joao Loureiro, has been handed a four-year suspension and fined 40,000 euros.

"Hm, who is Porto manager in 03/04 season? It is quite unfair to punished the club more than the person behind the fixing. The clubs can't fix match, only a person who is connected with the club can. Those directly responsible must be fined more than the club and put in prison for 10+ years (banned is not enough). It is not fair for the supporter."
