Pauleta is desperate to give PSG supporters something to remember him by this weekend when he plays his last match at the Parc des Princes.
Saturday's match against St Etienne will be the former Portugal striker's last at the stadium he has made his home for the past five seasons.
He is leaving the club in the summer to return to his home country but with PSG in the relegation zone with two weekends of the campaign left, he is intent on going out with a bang.
"I have built up a strong relationship with the fans in the five years I have been here," he told PSG's website.
"Saturday is my last game on this pitch and I hope to say goodbye to the supporters with a victory.
"It is perhaps the most important match of the season and our aim is to take three points. We need a victory and the Parc to be full to bursting to help us.
"The more the match approaches, the more the emotion will build up within me and I think the fans are feeling the same thing."
PSG, who are third from bottom on 39 points, are only behind Lens and Toulouse on goal difference but both those teams have tough away games this weekend, at Lille and Rennes respectively.
St Etienne are still in the running for a fifth-place finish, which could yet earn them a UEFA Cup spot for next season.
They are in great form and have not lost in the league since the start of March.
Nivaldo returns to the ASSE squad this weekend, while midfielder Geoffrey Dernis is again suspended.
PSG, who beat Amiens in midweek to reach the Coupe de France final, have lost Bernard Mendy (thigh) and Granddi Ngoyi (knee) but Clement Chantome returns from suspension.
