Rosenborg and Panionios were among the Intertoto Cup second-round winners on a weekend when Irish club Bohemians crashed out.
Norwegian side Rosenborg beat Ekranas of Lithuania 4-0 to win their tie 7-1 on aggregate.
Didier Ya Konan opened the scoring on 14 minutes, Steffen Iversen added a second on 50 minutes and Yassouf Kone netted a brace (52 and 90) to complete the rout.
Elsewhere, Greek side Panionios overcame a 1-0 first-leg deficit to progress against OFK Belgrade.
Georgios Barkoglou put his side on the road to victory in the 25th minute and Lampros Choutos added a brace through a 45th minute goal and 63rd minute penalty.
William Artur De Oliveira got one back for the visitors on 55 minutes but it proved not enough as they went down 3-2 on aggregate.
Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa will face Odense BK in the third qualifying round after the Danish outfit overcame TPS Turku of Finland.
Djiby Fall - who had also scored in the first leg - netted a brace on 21 and 51 minutes to give his side a 4-1 aggregate victory over their opponents.
Turkish side Sivasspor progressed 3-2 on aggregate after a close tie against Grbalj Radanovici of Montenegro.
After the first leg had finished 2-2, Sivasspor had to wait until the 83rd minute before Mamadou Diallo got the vital goal to put them through.
Ukrainian outfit Tavriya Symferopol beat FC Tiraspol 3-1 at home to get into the next round after the first leg had finished 0-0.
Zeljko Ljubenovic opened the scoring in the 10th minute, with Gomenyuk adding a second on 45 minutes and Vasil Gigiadze putting the tie beyond reach in the 51st minute.
Vitalie Bulat scored a last-minute consolation for the visitors.
Russian outfit Saturn Moscow had the luxury of a seven-goal cushion from the first leg but were then held 1-1 away by Luxemburg side Etzella Ettelbruck.
Claudio Da Luz opened the scoring for the home side on 71 minutes before Leonid Kovel replied eight minutes later.
On Saturday, Bohemians exited the competition on away goals despite beating Latvia's FK Riga 2-1 at Dalymount Park in Dublin, with the aggregate score 2-2.
