Lyon have decided to appeal against the decision not to bring forward Sunday's Ligue 1 match against Nantes to Saturday.
The champions wanted the match moved in light of next Wednesday's Champions League game against Bayern Munich but, with Lyon already having qualified for the knockout stages, the French league's competitions organising committee (COC) refused their request saying the match was "not decisive".
Lyon responded with a statement on their website, saying: "Olympique Lyonnais, who have already qualified but can still finish first in the group which affects the draw, do not understand the concept of a decisive match as decided by the COC and have therefore taken the decision to appeal."
