Six English-based players have been named in the Australia squad for the Olympic Football Tournament in Beijing next month.
Sheffield United's Brian Carney was named as one of three over-age players by coach Graham Arnold for the under-23 tournament, which kicks-off on August 6.
Carney is joined in the 18-man squad by Reading's Adam Federici, Leeds' Neil Kilkenny, Fulham's Adrian Leijer, Hereford's Trent McClenahan and Derby's Ruben Zadkovich.
