To take a break from all the doom and gloom let’s pay a small tribute to Damien Duff who finally hung up his boots yesterday. He was a brilliant player for Chelsea and Ireland and I always loved watching him play. Nice to look back at all the goals he scored and not to forgot the ones he created for others when we won the League and League Cup double. Good luck and thanks for the memories!

Overtone, good shout , I will never forget that first 25 mins against Barca.

    Scintillating!

Can only wish him the very best.

He seemed to go down hill very quickly after we sold him and his chelsea career was short but very sweet. What a player he was for us though, we havent had a pair of wingers as good as robben and duff since.

Thanks for posting the video overtone.

Glad you enjoyed it lads. Yes 999 – the beginning of that Barcelona match was out of this world. Just the same as Robben, he did become more and more injury prone as his career went on. But it was great to have them both at the top of their game. He always played with great heart and honesty. And that’s not meant as any kind of dig at some of our current crop – it’s just that I love these type of players the most.
