Martin Allen has said he is seeking players who can go immediately into his Gillingham first team rather than squad players.
Charlie Allen, Stuart Nelson, and Ben Strevens have already arrived at the Priestfield Stadium this summer but the Gills' boss has said he wants to make further additions.
He told Kent Online: "Places are up for grabs and we are hopeful in the next couple of weeks to sign some players.
"We are looking to bring in three players, maybe four or five, so we will have to see how the finances are and what we can do.
"The ones we are looking at, we want to come in and go straight into the starting XI, no questions asked."
