Leyton Or v Gillingham preview

admin

Leyton Orient will check on Dean Cox ahead of the visit of Gillingham.

Winger Cox injured his groin during the warm-up prior to Wednesday night’s 1-0 win over Coventry but the O’s are hopeful he will be fit.

Lloyd James made his second substitute appearance since suffering a broken leg in September against the Sky Blues and should be involved again.

But fellow midfielder Romain Vincelot remains sidelined by a knee injury and goalkeeper Adam Legzdins is out with a shoulder problem.

Gillingham boss Justin Edinburgh may be tempted to restore top scorer Cody McDonald to his starting line-up.

The former Norwich and Coventry striker has had to settle for a place on the bench in the last two matches against Crawley and Fleetwood, the latter who they failed to score against.

If McDonald does start, Luke Norris may drop to the bench after making way for him on the hour mark on Good Friday.

Doug Loft (calf) and Bradley Dack (back) overcame knocks to play against the Cod Army and are expected to retain their places.
