Ryan Stevenson is keen on joining an English club in the summer but could feature for Hearts again this season, according to his agent.
The 27-year-old midfielder has not featured for the Scottish Premier League side since December 17 after effectively going on strike in protest at late payment of wages.
He appears destined to leave Tynecastle when his contract expires in the summer, with Crawley chasing his signature, while Bristol City and a host of Scottish clubs are also thought to be interested.
But while his agent, Kenny Moyes, expects him to sign a pre-contract agreement elsewhere, he believes he could play for Hearts again before the end of the season.
Moyes told the Daily Record: "If Ryan was to sign a pre-contract I would expect him to be back training and making himself available for Hearts.
"Crawley are keen and they have a great set-up. Another couple of clubs in England have also shown an interest since the weekend.
"They don't necessarily want to sign him now but to get something done for the summer. Ryan would be keen on a move to England."
