Huddersfield chairman Dean Hoyle is confident most of the club's better players will stay at the Galpharm Stadium.

This, after the Terriers' League One play-off final win over Sheffield United on Saturday at Wembley.

Town's 40-goal striker Jordan Rhodes is expected to clinch a move to the Premier League, but with Championship football assured after their 8-7 penalty shootout win, Hoyle believes most of the squad will stay intact.

Hoyle said: "Now we can look to the future. Some of our players out there are fantastic assets and talents and I'm sure the phone would have been ringing first thing in the morning if we'd have lost that penalty shootout, but we didn't and now we can start to build again.

"So we're going to enjoy it. We're a Championship club. I'm really proud and it's for the fans and we've done it for them, which is fantastic.

"I'm so chuffed for everybody. Look at the players. Last season they were right down in the dumps and we had to pick them all up, but we're there, we've done it and I will enjoy it."

Lifelong Town fan Hoyle, who sold his chain of greeting cards and gift stores, Card Factory, for a reported £350million in 2010, joined the club's board in 2008 and took over as chairman and main shareholder in June 2009.
