Ben Gordon believes Kilmarnock are due a big win and hopes it comes against Hearts in Saturday's SPL clash at Rugby Park.
Gordon returned to Killie from Chelsea for a second loan spell in January to find the Ayrshire side's failure to capitalise on chances created - typified in their 1-1 draw at Dunfermline on Tuesday night - has added to their struggle to get into the top half of the table.
However, the full-back believes a big victory is just around the corner.
"It has been very frustrating," he said.
" We have had most of the possession in most of the games and had a lot of chances, like on Tuesday, we had some good chances against Dunfermline.
"It's just (about) sticking the ball away but I think it is a matter of time really.
"Hopefully one day everything will go right for us and we will get all the luck.
"People think because we are seventh, we are not doing well this year but we have a game in hand and hopefully we can push on and get some big wins on the board."
Gordon knows Chelsea's ability to buy world class players hampers, if not rules out altogether, his chances of first-team football at Stamford Bridge, which is why he welcomed the chance to return to Rugby Park.
"I've got 18 months left at Chelsea and I will be 22 by the time my contract finishes," he said.
"I know it's tough to break into that side when there is real quality about and they can spend willy-nilly.
"It is frustrating. There are even a few boys ahead of me who have been on loan to Premiership teams.
"It is frustrating for me but even more for them when they are even closer to the first team and Chelsea still bring in quality.
"So I think it is frustrating all the way down the line really.
"But I will wait and see. I hope to do well as I can here and this is a chance to be in the shop window as well, more than anything.
"At my age you want to play games.
"I was at Peterborough for two months but didn't really get into the team.
"It took me a few games to get back to the pace of the game but I am enjoying it back here.
"I've got my match fitness now and hopefully I can help Kilmarnock push on."
