MK Dons boss Karl Robinson said his play-off chasers were coming good just at the right time after cruising to a 3-0 win at Scunthorpe.

Leading marksman Dean Bowditch fired the Dons in front after 11 minutes with his 13th goal of the season, Daniel Powell made it 2-0 after 54 minutes and Shaun Williams completed the scoring five minutes from time, but Robinson is refusing to acknowledge a top-six spot is secure just yet.

"With just three games to go we're in a good position, but when you start to take things for granted this game has a habit of coming back and biting you on the bum," Robinson said. "So we're not going to do that.

"What an achievement after being down to just 17 players available - and three of those on the bench were carrying injuries.

"It just shows the spirit we have in this club and we try to do things the right way. Scunthorpe is a difficult place to come to, they had not been beaten for 10 games.

"But I thought we produced a classy performance which I enjoyed. It was almost the perfect performance. It has lifted us to fourth in the table and that is important."
