John Coleman has revealed the Rochdale team that resumes life in League Two next term will be vastly different to the relegated side.

Former Accrington boss Coleman moved to Spotland in January but was unable to halt Dale's slide back to the fourth tier two seasons after a first promotion in 41 years.

When asked about the make-up of his starting XI next term, Coleman told BBC Late Kick-Off North West: "It will be massively different. What I will stress to the fans is the attitude that is shown both in training and on the pitch will be totally different next season.

"I've got good players there but it needs an overhaul. We need the ethos to be mine. The team needs to reflect my love of football, my passion about football, my enthusiasm. I'm only seeing it in small doses and that's what's got to change next season.

"There's certainly not the will to win or the desire. It's there in patches, don't get me wrong and it's certainly evident from some players.

"Some players are going to have to go, that's for sure. It's going to be an overhaul. Players are going to go and I'm going to have to bring players in."
