Brentford midfielder Jonathan Douglas has been named the club's player of the year.

Douglas, who moved to Griffin Park from Swindon last summer, started every one of the Bees' 46 League One games this season and missed only 26 minutes of action.

Manager Uwe Rosler told the club's official website: "Jonathan was my player of the year.

"The consistency he has shown over a long season is second to none. At times, in some games, he has carried the whole team and he has a never-say-die spirit.

"I believe he should have been voted into the PFA League One team of the year, I don't see many midfield players who have played better than him."

Midfielder Sam Saunders was runner-up in the fans' vote with striker Clayton Donaldson third.
