Stevenage have signed Lee Hills on a free transfer after the defender was released by Championship outfit Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old left-back, who last season recovered from a serious knee injury to play seven games on loan at Southend, has agreed a three-year contract with Boro.
Manager Gary Smith told Stevenage's website: "I already had a good knowledge of Lee from his time with Crystal Palace.
"We took the chance to bring him in and get a close look and he has impressed us with his pace, quality and energy.
"He has a good character and has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner. I think he will be a very good addition to the squad."
