Carlisle manager Greg Abbott insists his squad are in "the right frame of mind" ahead of their League One season.
Abbott said there were positives to take out of the friendly with Middlesbrough on Friday - and added that the work done on the training ground is beginning to bear fruit.
"We can see that we are heading in the right direction, even though there is still a bit of work to do," Abbott told the club's official website.
"We are coming into the new season in the right frame of mind and hopefully we will get some momentum going, starting with Accrington next weekend.
"Mark Beck came on against Middlesbrough and caused problems yet again, while Dave Symington is chomping at the bit. And we are very pleased that we've got Alessio Bugno. He's starting to come to terms with the physical side of things already.
"The one we haven't seen yet is Josh Todd, but we aren't too worried about him. We think he's going to be a good player for us."
