Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson is delighted to have secured the signing of striker Nick Blackman.
Blackman has on Friday completed his move from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee and signed a two-year deal, with an option for a further year.
And Wilson believes the 22-year-old's qualities will enhance the Blades' chances of promotion.
"He is a great acquisition for Sheffield United," Wilson told the club's official website. "He hasn't played as much as he would have liked at Blackburn, but we feel he has great potential and assets that can benefit the way we want to play.
"From our perspective his pace and power are two of his major attributes. Every team needs that pace and power which unsettles defenders and he has done very well in the SPL during loan spells with Motherwell and Aberdeen.
"Nick scored plenty of goals and that made us want to give him the chance in League One. He has a real appetite and desire to succeed and still has youth on his side."
