Leyton Orient v Stevenage preview

Leyton Orient look set to be without Scott Cuthbert.

Defender Cuthbert limped out of Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Tranmere early in the second half with a hamstring injury and, although the O’s are waiting to discover the extent of the problem, he is unlikely to be available.

Ben Chorley came on for Cuthbert at the weekend and is now in line to make his first start of the season.

Goalkeeper Jamie Jones returned to the starting XI against Rovers after recovering from a shoulder injury and will keep his place with Ryan Allsop on the bench.

Manager Russell Slade has no other injury worries and will not tinker with his line-up too much despite the opening-day defeat.

Robin Shroot may have earned himself a place in the Stevenage starting line-up.

The midfielder had begun the campaign among the substitutes despite his fine goalscoring form in pre-season, but having climbed off the bench to hit the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Carlisle on Saturday boss Gary Smith admits he will be hard to leave out.

“He’s made a serious push for a starting shirt after that,” said Smith.

Fellow substitute Lucas Akins will also come into the reckoning for a start after combining with Shroot for Saturday’s goal.

Elsewhere, Bondz N’Gala should continue to partner Mark Roberts in central defence with Jon Ashton still building up his fitness following injury.
