Notts County manager Keith Curle has signed defender Damion Stewart on a short-term contract.
Stewart made 18 appearances for the Magpies during a loan spell from Bristol City earlier this year and has been training with Curle's side in recent weeks as he awaited a work permit.
The Jamaican international, 32, is available for the FA Cup first-round tie at Portsmouth on Saturday.
Stewart spent four years with QPR and made over 150 appearances for the Hoops before moving to Bristol City.
