Carlisle teen Brad Potts has been called up into the England Under-19s squad for next week's game against Finland at Telford.
The 18-year-old has made his first-team breakthrough at Brunton Park this season, racking up 11 appearances since his Cumbrians debut in August, including his man-of-the-match display at Preston in midweek.
"I only found out (on Thursday) morning and I'm absolutely buzzing," Potts told the club's official website. "I never expected anything like this and I'm nervous, but really looking forward to it.
"I'm going to go with the squad to Brentford and then join up with the England set-up from there, so there won't be much time to think about it."
Potts was handed his first professional contract at the end of his YTS spell last season and has since signed a new three-year deal.
