Latics manager Lee Johnson will be without captain James Wesolowski.

Family loyalties will be placed to one side as Oldham search for points to preserve their League One status, while Johnson Snr is chasing automatic promotion with the Glovers.

Wesolowski was absent as his team-mates battled to a vital 1-0 win over Greater Manchester neighbours Bury at the weekend due to a slight tear to his medial knee ligament.

The midfielder has undergone a painkilling injection and, although Tuesday night comes too soon, he may play again this term.

Johnson told his club’s official website: “James won’t be ready for Tuesday, but possibly could be for Saturday or he could be out for the season. We will have to see how it settles.”

Norwich loanee Korey Smith has extended his spell until the end of the campaign and is expected to continue in central midfield in Wesolowski’s absence.

Experienced defender Cliff Byrne should be fit once more following a groin problem, but young striker Dan Taylor (knee) will not play again this season.

Glovers boss Gary Johnson will be forced into one change to his starting line-up when he pits his wits against his son.

Dan Burn is suspended for his late red card in the 2-0 victory over Stevenage on Saturday so Richard Hinds could step into defence.

Johnson has a number of other slight concerns for what is sure to be a memorable evening for their family.

“We won’t know the team news until Tuesday,” he said. “There are a couple with a few sniffles and knocks and we have to put out the best team that we possibly can to win the game.”

Third-placed Yeovil, who have already secured a play-off place, head north knowing three points would leave them just two behind the automatic promotion places with two games remaining.

“If we are going to try to reach maximum points then we need to win our last three games and if we do get the 83 points then we are waiting for others to slip up,” he added.

Striker Jordan Cook is still with Charlton receiving treatment for his injury and will once again miss out.

Oldham will be without suspended winger Keanu Marsh-Brown.

Marsh-Brown begins a three-match ban having been sent off for a reckless two-footed lunge on Josh Walker in the closing stages of Tuesday night’s 2-1 defeat to Scunthorpe.

The 19-year-old’s absence clears the way for Reuben Reid to make his first start for five months in attack having recently returned from a thigh injury.

Fellow forward Robbie Simpson remains sidelined with a broken toe. The ex-Cambridge man will see a specialist on Monday and is targeting a return for the local derby with Rochdale on March 17.

Captain Dean Furman is still a couple of weeks away from a return due to a medial knee ligament problem and regular midfield partner James Wesolowski is set to miss the rest of the season following shoulder surgery.

Paul Black (hamstring) is also expected to spend the remainder of the campaign on the sidelines, but another full-back, Bradley Diallo, is almost ready to resume training have been absent since October with a serious hamstring injury.

Yeovil will be without the suspended Dean Parrett as they look for their third successive League One victory.

Parrett was sent off for two bookable offences in the first half of the Glovers’ impressive 1-0 win at MK Dons in midweek and serves a one-match ban for the trip to Boundary Park.

However, manager Gary Johnson has been boosted by the return from suspension of Kieran Agard, who has now completed the three-game ban served to him following his red card against Colchester on February 18.

Full-back Nathan Jones will also be absent for the Somerset side with an ankle problem, but otherwise Johnson has no new injury worries for the clash with the Latics.
