Bradford v Peterborough preview

Bradford striker Aaron Mclean is a major injury doubt for the home game against his former club Peterborough.

Mclean missed last Friday’s goalless draw at Rotherham due to a hamstring strain and could face a late fitness test.

Fellow striker James Hanson has been unable to train properly in recent weeks due to back and groin problems and has missed the last four matches, but has not been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Midfielder Nathan Doyle returned to play the full 90 minutes at Rotherham following a groin injury and is hoping to retain his place as Bradford bid for their first win in four games.

Danny Swanson will miss Peterborough’s trip to Bradford on Friday night.

The midfielder is also expected to remain absent for Posh’s home game against Carlisle on Monday with the ankle injury that forced him off late in the first half of the 1-0 victory over Coventry last weekend.

Michael Bostwick will return to the squad and is a candidate to replace Swanson along with Josh McQuoid and Lloyd Isgrove.

Peterborough go into this weekend’s round of fixtures seven points clear of seventh place and can seal a play-off spot with victory at Valley Parade if Swindon lose and both MK Dons and Sheffield United fail to win.
