Yeovil v Peterborough preview

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton will again be missing Dean Bowditch and Andy Welsh when his struggling side host Peterborough.

The widemen both missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Dagenham and remain sidelined through injury.

Skiverton handed on-loan QPR striker Antonio German his debut off the bench at the weekend and could now be tempted to play the 19-year-old from the start.

Defender Craig Alcock returned to the Glovers’ squad following a back problem that had kept him out since before Christmas.

Skiverton is urging his side to be more clinical after several chances went begging in the weekend defeat at Dagenham.

He said: “If we can take our chances I think we will be a very good force in this division. But every time we get that opportunity game to get away from that bottom four we cannot quite take it.”

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson will welcome back Gabriel Zakuani for the trip to Yeovil.

The 24-year-old defender has spent a month on the sidelines with a shoulder injury but will return to the squad and could even start against the Glovers.

Posh boss Ferguson has also hinted at midfield changes following the 3-2 defeat at Charlton.

On-loan Wolves winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing could come back into the starting line-up in place of Chris Whelpdale following a lively 30-minute cameo against the Addicks at the weekend.

Grant McCann could also start after being left on the bench following his international exploits for Northern Ireland last week.

Striker Dave Hibbert remains on the sidelines with a dislocated knee which has kept him out of action since November.
