Gillingham v Oldham preview

Gills boss Peter Taylor is set to shuffle his pack once again for the home clash with Oldham.

Taylor made five changes for last weekend’s win at Sheffield United and another six for the FA Cup defeat at non-league Brackley on Monday. Similar changes can be expected against the Latics.

The experienced manager would no doubt like to put out the same side that left Bramall Lane with all three points. However, he is sweating over the fitness of Steven Gregory and Danny Kedwell, who were both forced off early in that game.

Danny Hollands will be available after missing the cup replay under the terms of his loan deal from Charlton.

Oldham boss Lee Johnson, meanwhile, will check on forward Kirk Millar ahead of the trip to Gillingham.

Millar sustained ankle and calf injuries while on international duty with Northern Ireland’s Under-21 squad and will be assessed.

Striker Jordan Bove serves the second game of a three-match ban after he was dismissed in the closing stages of his side’s emphatic victory over Notts County in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Forward Charlie MacDonald was named on the bench in Tuesday’s impressive FA Cup victory over Wolves following a spell out with an ankle injury and he could play some part against the Gills.
