The left-back wants to entice more supporters after the Saddlers reached Wembley for the first time in their history.

They clinched a 2-0 aggregate win over Preston following Tuesday”s goalless draw at the Banks’s Stadium.

Gillingham visit in League One on Sunday at 6pm, with the game kicking off late because of a clash with the weekly market at the ground.

And Taylor wants another bumper crowd after 10,038 watched them create history in midweek.

He said: “We’ve put the club on the map a little bit and hopefully it will encourage a few more to come down and watch us.

“As a player you want to play in front of good crowds, as soon as we ran out for the warm-up you could feel the atmosphere building. It was terrific, you get that buzz and if you can have it every week it would be brilliant.

“We don’t expect it every week but if we could get a few more fans down here and get the atmosphere like it was – because it doesn’t half help you on the pitch – it would give us a massive boost.”
