Pair extend Sheffield Utd stay
Murphy, who moved to Bramall Lane from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in 2013, has extended his stay until the summer of 2017, while defender Kennedy, a product of United’s academy, will remain with the club until 2016.
Blades boss Nigel Clough is delighted to prolong the stay of both players.
He told the club’s official website: “Both are influential members of the squad and have the potential to be even better.
“Jamie has caused Premiership defenders countless problems in our cup runs, whilst Terry is a no-nonsense defender, the type of which are particularly appreciated at Bramall Lane.”
However, highly-rated youngster Diego De Girolamo, who also came through the club’s youth system, has rejected a contract offer from the Blades.
