Crawley caretaker manager Craig Brewster admitted his team deserved only a point following their 1-1 draw at Dagenham.
Charlie Wassmer handed the visitors the lead but Billy Bingham levelled for the Daggers, leaving Crawley in third place with two games remaining of the npower League Two season.
"I don't think we did enough in the second half to win the game, despite having two good chances," said Brewster.
"You've got to give credit to Dagenham, they made it difficult for us and had good energy. They're eight without defeat, they're hungry and make it difficult for teams. They put great balls into the box with set-pieces, but I thought we defended those very well.
"We countered well in the first half, but when they score a 30-yard strike in the 45th minute of the first half you have to take your hat off to the boy.
"We didn't do anything positive enough in the second half to win, but if you look at the scores around us that could prove to be a big point. We're still in the mix with two games to go and we look forward to next Saturday. We've got to do it for ourselves."
