Southend have completed the signing of Dagenham striker Gavin Tomlin.
The former Yeovil man has penned a one-year deal at Roots Hall.
Tomlin, 29, scored six goals in nine starts during an impressive loan spell with Gillingham last season, including one in the Shrimpers' 2-1 victory at the Priestfield Stadium in February.
Tomlin's signing completes a productive day for U's boss Paul Sturrock, who secured the services of left-back Anthony Straker earlier on Monday.
