Terry Gornell is back from suspension for Accrington’s home clash with play-off chasing Stevenage.

Stanley, who picked up a point against Hartlepool in midweek to secure a 10th straight season in the Football League, have been without striker Gornell for the past three games following his dismissal in the derby against Morecambe.

However, there is no guarantee he will walk straight back into a team which has picked up five points in his absence, with Josh Windass thriving in a more advanced role and scoring against Pools.

Lloyd Jones is free to play again after extending his loan earlier this week and fellow defender Dean Winnard was back on the bench in the north east following injury, but Andy Procter (ankle) will not play again this term.

Harry Worley could make his first appearance since August for Stevenage.

The former Chelsea trainee is fit after seven months out with a knee injury and was named on the bench against Portsmouth in midweek.

Fellow defender Ronnie Henry was also among the subs after three weeks on the sidelines with a hip problem.

But Roarie Deacon, Ben Kennedy, Dave Martin and Jon Ashton are still doubts while Calvin Zola and Adam Marriott will miss out again.

Accrington boss John Coleman is expected to have a fully fit squad at his disposal.

Goalkeeper Alex Cisak suffered a dead leg in Sunday’s first leg defeat against Boro, but he was back in training on Thursday and is expected to start.

A bug has affected some members of the Stanley squad this week but Coleman has reported a clean bill of health as his side look to battle back from 2-0 down.

Ian Craney returned for the first leg after recovering from a hamstring problem and although the midfielder did not complete the full 90 minutes, he is in contention once again.

Stanley beat Graham Westley’s side 1-0 at the Crown Ground in November but they will need to better that result if they are to progress to the final at Old Trafford.

Stevenage boss Graham Westley will leave it as late as possible before naming his side with several unnamed players carrying knocks.

Boro will definitely be without midfielder John Mousinho and defender Luke Foster, with both players still suspended.

Westley will monitor the fitness of several players in training ahead of the game, but refused to reveal which members of his squad are battling to be fit.

Midfielder Lawrie Wilson came through the full 90 minutes of the 2-0 first-leg victory over Stanley after shaking off a knock and Westley will be hoping he is available for the trip to Lancashire.

Forward Yemi Odubade will come into contention after returning from a loan spell at Blue Square Bet Premier side Newport.

Accrington boss John Coleman will be boosted by the return of Phil Edwards.

The 25-year-old defender missed the 1-1 draw with Southend last weekend through suspension after being booked for the fifth time this season, and was replaced by Pete Murphy.

However, while Edwards will return to the squad, Murphy will sit out the first game of a three-match ban following his straight red card received for a late tackle on Shrimpers midfielder Anthony Grant.

Chris Turner sits out the second game of his three-match suspension, but Kevin Long has extended his loan deal from neighbours Burnley by a further month and is likely to continue in defence.

Coleman again has no injury worries to contend with as his side go in search of their first win in seven league games.

Stevenage boss Graham Westley will be boosted by the return of leading goalscorer Chris Holroyd.

Holroyd, on-loan from Brighton, missed the impressive FA Cup first-round replay win over MK Dons after Seagulls boss Gus Poyet refused him permission to play.

Chris Beardsley returned to the starting line-up in his place against the Dons after recovering from the shoulder injury that has disrupted his season.

Westley will have to decide whether he is fit enough to partner Holroyd in attack or whether Charlie Griffin or Ben May get the nod.

Ronnie Henry missed out against the Dons due to illness but he could make a recovery in time to take his usual slot at right-back. If he fails to recover, Lawrie Wilson is likely to continue at full-back with David Bridges and Stacy Long continuing in midfield.

Lee Boylan (calf) and Darren Murphy (ankle) are long-term absentees.
