Defender Aidan White is the latest Leeds United player to publicy give his backing to caretaker-manager Neil Redfearn.

Academy coach Redfearn, 46, is preparing the squad for his second game in charge against Brighton on Saturday and has refused to rule himself out of the running for the job on a permanent basis following last week's sacking of Simon Grayson and his backroom staff.

"He's a good manager, he's experienced, I enjoyed playing under him for the under-18s so I know what he can do and what a good manager he is. We've just got to concentrate on that," White told the club's official website.

"You hear a lot of rumours and names. One day it's this person, the next it's another. Whoever does get the job we will enjoy working with them."

But the 20-year-old left-back added: "[Redfearn] was a fantastic player and has bags of experience. He played a lot of league games and I've enjoyed working with him over the past week or so. I'd back him all the way, however long he is in charge for."
