Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade was pleased his side could round off a frustrating season with a 2-1 win over Rochdale.
First-half goals by Dean Cox and Moses Odubajo, the latter making his first league start, gave the O's only their sixth home win of the season.
Reece Gray pulled a goal back for Rochdale but Orient held on to record the double over their opponents.
"It was a nice way to sign off for the season and it was nice to get a win in front of our fans because they've really had to suffer too many defeats and too many below-par performances," said Slade.
"I thought that we could have won the game more comfortably, we created a lot of opportunities particularly in the first period but it's still nice to get the win.
"There's a lot of work to be done in the summer and we have to review this season and look at every aspect of it. We will do that."
