Orient manager Russell Slade was happy with his side's defence despite losing 1-0 to Ebbsfleet United in a pre-season match.
A second-half Nathan Elder goal was the difference between the two teams, though Orient named an entirely different side from the one that started the game.
"We were really, really solid in the first half and should have probably been a couple of goals in front in all fairness," Slade told the club's official website.
He added: "I think if we'd shown a tad more quality in the final third we'd have been comfortable at half-time. We reduced them to just half a chance in that first period so I was very, very pleased with that."
Slade also praised the performances of Nathan Clarke, Scott Cuthbert and Matty Baudry.
