Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade believes there were plenty of positives to take from his side's 1-0 defeat at MK Dons.

Veteran striker Ryan Lowe bagged the winner just before half-time to hand the Dons their second successive victory and condemn Orient to their fourth straight defeat.

Slade, who was sent to the stands late on for protesting against a decision, said: "We're trying to keep the players positive at the minute because the last two performances have been sound. To be 0-0 with MK Dons with only a couple of minutes to go to half-time would have been an ideal situation, particularly on the back of the second-half performance.

"The game plan was always to get Kevin Lisbie some game time and we've done that and he looks like he's come through that, which is really positive for us. Our bench is getting stronger as players come back to full fitness.

"Moses Odubajo became a man. This is the MK Dons, this is a big stadium and one of the bigger teams away from home in the league. They've been in the play-offs for three years running and Mo didn't look out of it - I thought he was one of the best players on the pitch.

"We're inches away rather than miles away. Providing we go out with that same focus and that attitude the results will come. There's always pressure of some nature or another - it's something I'm used to and it's something the senior players are used to."
