Leyton Orient will be without veteran striker Kevin Lisbie when they host Walsall in the FA Cup.

Lisbie, who has scored 12 goals this season, missed the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United last weekend after picking up an ankle injury in training and will not be fit in time.

Shaun Batt will therefore continue in attack for the League One leaders.

Boss Russell Slade could decide to give back-up goalkeeper Jake Larkins and fellow youngsters Yohann Lasimant and Johnny Gorman run-outs after they played in the first-round win over Southport.

Walsall continue to boast a fully-fit squad for their FA Cup second-round trip to Leyton Orient.

The Saddlers have enjoyed an empty treatment room for several weeks and boss Dean Smith will be hoping that remains the case as the club head into the hectic festive period.

Midfielder Nicky Featherstone could well be recalled at Brisbane Road while the likes of Ashley Hemmings and Troy Hewitt will also be hoping for a look-in.

Walsall have already claimed a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient in League One in late September having played over 70 minutes with 10 men following the sending-off of skipper Andy Butler.

League leaders Orient have been hit by a sudden spate of injuries as they attempt to make it nine wins out of nine this weekend.

Boss Russell Slade has named the same starting line-up for seven successive league matches, but now looks certain to be forced into changes.

Scott Cuthbert is set to miss out with a hip injury and fellow defender Mathieu Baudry, who played with a bandaged head in the 2-0 win at Brentford on Monday, now has an infection in the cut above his eye and will be assessed.

Striker Shaun Batt, who climbed off the bench to score his fifth goal in four appearances at Griffin Park, is a doubt with a virus and Bournemouth loanee Jayden Stockley is expected to miss out with a knee injury.

Craig Westcarr and Ashley Hemmings are pushing for recalls as Walsall aim to end Leyton Orient’s 100 per cent start to the League One season.

The attacking duo were rested to the bench for last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Rotherham after manager Dean Smith had previously kept faith with an unchanged side for back-to-back wins against Crewe and Wolves.

Romaine Sawyers and James Baxendale were the two players to come in and the pair look set to return to the bench at Brisbane Road.

Boss Smith has no injury or suspension concerns to contend with.

Calvin Andrew is in line to make his Orient debut.

The striker has moved to the O’s on loan for the rest of the season from Crystal Palace.

Andrew could replace top scorer Kevin Lisbie in the starting line-up as the seven-goal frontman needs a late fitness check on a hip injury.

Boss Russell Slade moved for Andrew after allowing fellow forward Jamie Cureton rejoin his former club Exeter on loan.

West Ham loanee Marek Stech will continue in goal after making his debut in last week’s 1-1 draw at Bury.

Stech was drafted in after Lee Butcher was ruled out for the season with a knee problem and Jamie Jones suffered a wrist injury.

Adam Chambers will be assessed as Walsall look to drag Orient into a relegation dogfight.

The midfielder missed last Saturday’s goalless draw at Preston nursing a heel injury and finally had stitches to a wound removed on Thursday.

Chambers will be checked on Friday but it appears unlikely he will be 100% in time for the trip to Brisbane Road, with next week’s double header against Sheffield United and Hartlepool a more likely target.

Anton Peterlin stepped in at Deepdale and could well retain his place against the O’s having helped secure a goalless draw, with a third successive clean sheet making it seven points from a possible nine for in-form Walsall.

Defender Darryl Westlake (ankle) is likely to have recovered in time but has not featured since the start of January, while striker Ryan Jarvis has joined Torquay on loan for the rest of the season.

The Saddlers would close the gap to 16th-placed Orient to just four points with victory.

Leyton Orient are likely to be unchanged when they host Walsall.

The O’s moved out of the relegation zone when they ended a run of three straight defeats with a 1-0 win over Brentford on Friday night.

Manager Russell Slade has no new injury worries so Jonathan Tehoue remains the only absentee.

The French striker has been sidelined since the start of the month with an ankle injury and is not yet fit.

Charlie Daniels has come through two games unscathed following his hamstring problems and will continue at left-back.

Veteran striker Scott McGleish will lead the line again after grabbing the winner against the Bees, his third goal of the season.

Chris Hutchings has no new injury or suspension problems as his Walsall side look to kick-start their season.

The Saddlers travel to Brisbane Road on the back of six successive defeats and you could be forgiven for thinking time is steadily running out for Hutchings to turn things around.

He does at least have no fresh injury or suspension problems to contend with ahead of the encounter.

Captain Darren Byfield missed Saturday’s 2-1 reverse at Hartlepool with a knee injury and he remains in the treatment room for the short term.

Midfielders Steve Jones and Richard Taundry continue to miss out with their respective ankle and knee problems.

Walsall’s latest defeat at Victoria Park resulted in the midlands club slipping into the drop zone, with their pre-season ambitions of being involved in the battle for play-off places a long way off.
