Andre Villas-Boas has emerged as the 5/6 favourite in Sky Bet's next Liverpool manager odds amid speculation he is set for an interview next week.
The former Chelsea boss has replaced Roberto Martinez at the head of the betting with reports suggesting he is amongst the Reds' various targets and will open talks in the week.
That speculation has been supported by a steady stream of bets for the 34-year-old to be handed the reins at Anfield, prompting Sky Bet to cut his price from 3/1 to 5/6 over the last 24 hours.
Villas-Boas endured a frustrating spell at Stamford Bridge before leaving the underachieving Blues amid talk of unrest in the dressing room, but still commands respect following his work at Porto, where he won the league and the Europa League in his first season.
Tottenham's failure to secure a Champions League berth after Chelsea stole their spot by winning the competition on Saturday night seems to have prompted a gamble on Harry Redknapp to leave White Hart Lane, with a move to Liverpool slashed from 16/1 to 7/1.
Brendan Rodgers is thought to have rebuffed talks with the Reds and has consequently gone from 6/1 to 12s, while Mallorca boss Michael Laudrup has come in from 40/1 to 10s amid talk that his is amongst the contenders.
Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "Villas-Boas is attracting most of the money right now while we've also seen some slightly strange bets on Redknapp to take the job - how interested he'd really be remains to be seen.
"Martinez has still been backed the most in total and we expect to see plenty more twists and turns before Liverpool finally appoint one of the targets with a sizeable short-list thought to be drawn up."
