“Liverpool have got some top players, but I just felt it was time to move and crack on. Anyway,Liverpool and Bournemouth are fighting for the same things,as they’re in the same competitions,so would me coming to Bournemouth really make that much difference”?

I understand what he means, but come on. Are Bournemouth going to be fighting for a top 4 spot, potentially the league title? Highly unlikely. However he dresses it up,he has swapped a top 4 fight for a team who are going to be trying to stay in the division. I understand why he’s made the move in a professional sense ie to play more regularly, but don’t talk bollocks and try and make out that it isn’t a backwards move

Based on his logic, a move to Burton wouldn’t have been a step down.

    S/t, second that thought mate.

I don’t know why he needs to say these things in the public domain in the first place and I didn’t think he was that type of a professional.

The fact of the matter is that for us when he was given the opportunities, he didn’t really express himself and I for one never rated him the way some fellow pool fans did (fair dos in people having a different view).

We got good money for him, so the rest after that is history.

He also reinforced his point by reminding the journalist that we had no European football this season. I liked him. His style of play excited me,but he played for a few managers at Liverpool, and none deemed him worthy of a regular run,and starting place in the side (I think he was signed by Benitez at 15 years of age – I could be wrong though).

I wish the lad well, but I agree with Nil. To me,it seems he’s taken a bit of a shot at us,and that leaves a bad taste in the mouth,if that was indeed his intention. No need in the grand scheme of things. We got good money for him,he got a move that,in theory, means he should get more regular first team football, and,if he improves, with the buy back clause,we might yet see him again in a Liverpool shirt some day

ST haven’t read the article but could simply be interpreted that both clubs are in the premier league, FA cup and league cup. So factually correct and no need to really read to much into it and wish the lad all the best

I wouldn’t read too much into this. He didn’t want to move so he is probably a little bitter. He is just talking up his new team.

If we can kick on, these sorts of things will be amusing, looking back in a few years time.

Too much too son, and Klopp is the first bite of reality the lad has had. When he said ‘I don’t rate you’ then it’s the first time he has probably had someone tell him the truth. Must sting for a spoilt rich kid surrounded by hangers on and yes men.

Beni, you really are bitter. Give the lad a break what is he supposed to say in an interview? Well it’s really a big step down and only joined because I want to get more games? Yeah this will go down well with his new employers, maybe you not that smart to realise you don’t bite the hand that feeds you. What is said in interviews is not necessarily what they really feel.

Joe Hart seems surplus to requirements at City. If he ends up going to Everton for instance,I’ll await his cheap shot comments about the club that gave him his chance to play at a higher level, earned him international recognition etc….. can’t really see that happening, can you? Hart’s beef will be with Guardiola, not City. Ibe should be pissed at Klopp for selling him,I get that, but don’t take shots at the club that took a chance on you when you were 15 years old

BB – what on earth is bitter about what I posted? Just some truth. Grow up, stop being a Dick.
