His style of play excited me,but he played for a few managers at Liverpool,and none deemed him worthy of a regular run,and starting place in the side (I think he was signed by Benitez at 15 years of age – I could be wrong though).
I wish the lad well,but I agree with Nil. To me,it seems he’s taken a bit of a shot at us,and that leaves a bad taste in the mouth,if that was indeed his intention. No need in the grand scheme of things. We got good money for him,he got a move that,in theory,means he should get more regular first team football,and,if he improves,with the buy back clause,we might yet see him again in a Liverpool shirt some day
