Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson says he is not surprised to see Cheltenham involved in the League Two promotion shake-up.
At the beginning of the season the Robins were tipped by many to struggle, but Simpson believes their lofty position is thoroughly merited as the Silkmen prepare to host a side locked to 52 points with Southend and Crawley at League Two's summit.
"They're a good team who've made some good signings and they've clicked," he said. "They're working extremely hard for each other.
"I've seen them a couple of times and I've been saying for quite a while now that they're going to do really, really well.
"It's no surprise having seen them that they're doing well because they've got some very good players and they've got a fantastic work ethic."
