The Manchester City midfielder was his usual
straight-talking self as he told of he and
Kevin de Bruyne made the Blues less predictable.
Hungry Samir Nasri was man of the match as City stayed
on course for a top four finish … and then claimed City
can be too predictable without him and Kevin de Bruyne!
The French midfielder, no stranger to controversy, clearly
meant that Raheem Sterling and Jesus Navas are more direct,
pacy players, whereas he and the Belgian ace De Bruyne rely
more on guile and doing the unexpected.
But Nasri’s words on Sky Sports are sure to put him back
in the spotlight.
“When Kevin and myself have been on the sidelines and
David has been playing with a pain in his ankle, our game
is a little bit predictable with Jesus and Raheem, because
they like to go to the space,” said Nasri.
“We offer a different option. It is good when everyone
is fit and the manager can choose the players he wants,
and it depends on the position as well.
“The thing is when you have Kun, Kevin, David, Yaya, all
at this level, it is really easy to play in this team.”
Said Nasri: “The medical and fitness staff have done good work,
but when you have been out for seven month you are really hungry
when you come back.
