M'boro v Burnley preview

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash between Middlesbrough and Burnley at the Riverside Stadium.

Middlesbrough's new loan signing Josh McEachran is available to go straight into the starting line-up.

The highly-rated midfielder has joined Boro on a season-long deal and may be given an immediate debut as his new team-mates attempt to bounce back from an opening-day 1-0 defeat at Barnsley.

Merouane Zemmama, Andrew Halliday, and Adam Reach all made appearances from the bench as Mowbray's team searched for an equaliser against the Tykes and will be pushing for a starting place, along with McEachran.

Mowbray may also have Kevin Thomson available on his return from a calf injury.

Mustapha Carayol faces a race against time to prove his fitness as he continues his comeback from a hamstring injury that ruled him out of the Oakwell defeat.

Lukas Jutkiewicz (knee) will be unavailable until mid-September, while Joe Bennett, also suffering with a knee injury, remains sidelined.

Burnley boss Eddie Howe has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game.

The Clarets started the league season in fine fashion with Saturday's 2-0 derby victory over Bolton played out before a rapturous Turf Moor faithful, and the fitness picture from the weekend is similarly rosy for Howe.

Chris McCann overcame an ankle problem to play a full 90 minutes, while fellow midfielder Marvin Bartley returned ahead of schedule from a similar complaint to take a place among the substitutes.

Republic of Ireland winger Keith Treacy (groin) remains on the sidelines alongside striker Danny Ings (knee).

The Riverside Stadium was the scene of one of Burnley's best performances last season, as the now departed Jay Rodriguez and Kieran Trippier netted fine first-half goals to secure a 2-0 win over Tony Mowbray's side in January.
