Tranmere v Sheff Utd preview

Tranmere will check on Ian Goodison ahead of the visit of Sheffield United.

Goodison was withdrawn through injury after 28 minutes in the 2-0 defeat at Gillingham on Friday and is doubtful.

Leading goalscorer Ryan Lowe (dead leg) and midfielder Jason Koumas (toe) both passed fitness tests to play at the Priestfield Stadium and may have to do so once more to assist Rovers’ plight.

Tranmere go into the game against the Blades two points above the relegation zone with three matches remaining.

Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough will be without on-loan defender Bob Harris at Tranmere.

Harris suffered a groin injury in Friday night’s win over Stevenage and Clough reckons it could rule him out for the season.

Matt Hill came on to replace Harris and should start at Prenton Park.

Clough as no other injury or suspension concerns as his side continue their unlikely chase for the play-offs.
