Team news ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash between Bristol City and Crystal Palace at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City new boy Steve Davies could go straight into the squad.

The striker completed a move from Derby on Monday, signing a three-year deal at Ashton Gate.

And the 24 year-old could be in line for an immediate debut with Derek McInnes currently short of attacking options.

Winger Albert Adomah was pushed up front alongside Jon Stead in last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.

Reserve striker Ryan Taylor is recovering from an ankle injury whilst Brett Pitman was left on the bench.

Midfielders Marvin Elliott and Paul Anderson both came off the bench at the City Ground and could be in contention for a starting place. Veteran Jody Morris still awaits his Robins debut.

Crystal Palace are still without skipper Paddy McCarthy and midfielder Jonathan Williams for the trip.

Defender McCarthy has yet to shake off a groin problem and Welsh teenager Williams, who battled back from a broken leg last season, is struggling with a calf strain.

Dougie Freedman does not expect to have either player back in time to travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Strikers Glenn Murray and Jermaine Easter could be added to the squad after missing out in Saturday's last-gasp 3-2 defeat by Watford.

But Freedman will not tinker too much with the side which looked set to start the season with three points until the Hornets scored twice in the last two minutes at Selhurst Park.
