Dagenham will again be without the suspended Scott Doe when they travel to Torquay.

The defender is in the middle of a three-match ban for his red card for violent conduct against Wycombe.

Luke Wilkinson played 90 minutes last weekend on his return from an ankle injury but Rhys Murphy (groin) will miss the rest of the season and Zavon Hines (knee) also remains sidelined.

The 4-1 home defeat by Portsmouth all but ended Dagenham’s play-off hopes, with eight points separating them from the top seven with only four games to go.

Dagenham will again be without the suspended Scott Doe when they travel to Torquay.

Torquay will be without Jayden Stockley when they face Dagenham.

The striker serves the second of a three-game ban having been sent off against Scunthorpe earlier this month and will be unavailable as the Gulls plot a great escape.

Manager Chris Hargreaves will once again give the Gulls’ promising young loanees a chance to impress with Shamir Goodwin (Brighton), Shaquile Coulthirst (Spurs) and Baily Cargill (Bournemouth) all set to be involved once more having helped them to a vital 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers last weekend.

The Gulls cannot be relegated at Plainmoor on Friday but anything less than a win means local rivals Exeter could send them down on Monday afternoon.

Torquay manager Martin Ling is likely to stick with the same starting XI that won 2-1 at Morecambe on Saturday.

Ling has a fully-fit and suspension-free squad at his disposal for the arrival of the Daggers, and the Gulls go into the League Two match off the back of three consecutive away wins.

Taiwo Atieno looks set to keep his place up front despite the return from suspension of fellow striker Rene Howe.

Howe was on the bench at Morecambe after serving a four-match ban, during which time Atieno impressed up top for the Plainmoor outfit, with the 26-year-old likely to lead the line once more on Tuesday.

Defender Brian Saah is pushing for a recall after his comeback from a groin injury, but he too may have to continue to settle for a place among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, Josh Scott will be assessed ahead for Dagenham.

Scott has returned to full training following a knee injury but the weekend’s 4-1 defeat at Crewe came too soon, with the striker being monitored ahead of the Plainmoor clash, although Saturday’s home encounter against Rotherham is likely to be a more realistic target.

Fellow forward Brian Woodall returned from a groin problem to start against the Alex, opening the scoring with his fifth goal of the season.

Midfielders Luke Howell (knee), Kevin Maher (metatarsal) and Peter Gain (knee) as well as striker Sam Williams (knee) continue their respective recoveries.

The Daggers know a point against Torquay – in what is their game in hand against those around them at the wrong end of the table – would pull them level with third-bottom Plymouth.

But they face a tough ask against an in-form Gulls side who have claimed 29 points from a possible 36 since late October to rise up to sixth in the table.
