York City v Bury preview

admin

York have no fresh injury worries as they look to extend their unbeaten run to 15 games at home to Bury.

The Minstermen boosted their play-off hopes with a 1-0 win over Oxford on Friday and Nigel Worthington could name the same starting line-up that saw off the U’s.

Long-term injury absentees Josh Carson and Wes Fletcher miss out once more while Worthington could shuffle his pack with the likes of Ryan Bowman, Ryan Jarvis and Sander Puri pushing for inclusion.

The Minstermen currently have a two-point cushion over Oxford having not tasted defeat since January 28.

Danny Rose is pushing for a start when in-form Bury tackle York.

The striker was a star performer during the final 33 minutes of their emphatic 4-0 win over Plymouth on Friday having stepped off the bench and will hope his 88th minute strike was enough to earn a first start for the Shakers.

Tommy Miller and Chris Hussey, both doubts ahead of the clash with the Pilgrims, shook off their problems to feature but Phil Picken remains sidelined with a knee injury.

The comfortable win extended Bury’s unbeaten run to seven games but they remain seven points adrift of the play-offs.
