York v Bury preview

York’s new striker Shaq Coulthirst could make his full debut in the home game against Bury.

The 20-year-old stepped off the bench for his first appearance against Carlisle on Saturday after arriving on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.

Another loanee, Diego De Girolamo, could return to the starting line-up following a bout of food poisoning. The Sheffield United forward also featured off the bench at the weekend.

Midfielder Luke Summerfield is hoping to return to the squad after missing the last eight games due to a thigh injury but will be assessed and his comeback may be delayed until Saturday.

Danny Mayor is a major doubt for Bury.

The midfielder came off in the win over Mansfield at the weekend after receiving a knock on his knee and will be assessed prior to the trip.

Danny Rose missed out against the Stags having torn his calf and is now facing three weeks on the sidelines, while Saturday’s home game against Northampton is a more realistic target for fellow forward Daniel Nardiello (hamstring).

Defender Adam El-Abd returns from suspension for Bury and boss David Flitcroft must decide whether to take Jim McNulty out of a winning team.
