Rochdale boss John Coleman has no new injury worries.

Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro is set to remain on the sidelines after picking up a groin problem during his recovery from a hamstring injury.

The striker may be the only blemish on John Coleman’s squad, with centre-back Kevin Amankwaah expected to recover from a minor knock that forced him from the field in the closing stages of Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Colchester.

Dean Holdon replaced Amankwaah and is ready to deputise if needed, but the former Swindon man has formed an impressive pairing with on-loan Burnley defender Kevin Long in recent weeks, with Dale conceding just twice in five games under Coleman.

Victory over Notts County would be a third consecutive triumph at Spotland for relegation-threatened Rochdale following successes against Bury and Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Alan Sheehan is a doubt for Keith Curle’s first away game as Notts County manager.

Sheehan was a late withdrawal from the squad to face Chesterfield on Saturday after suffering an injury shortly before kick-off.

The full-back is being monitored by the club’s medical staff and a late decision will be made on his fitness.

Jonathan Forte will be hoping to force his way back into the starting line-up after climbing off the bench to score the winning goal against Chesterfield.

Fellow striker Ben Burgess, midfielders Gavin Mahon and Ishmel Demontagnac and defenders Damion Stewart and Sam Sodje will also be hoping for recalls at Spotland as Notts look to record three straight league wins for the first time this season.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill could ring the changes when his side host Notts County.

The 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Exeter on Saturday condemned Hill’s men to a third consecutive loss and put another huge dent in their play-off prospects.

Hill has no injury or suspension concerns but may decide to shuffle his pack in search of a winning formula.

Hill was disappointed to hear some supporters turning against their own side during the weekend reverse to Exeter, which left Dale 16 points adrift of the top six.

Hill said: “When you are losing you need to feel confidence from the supporters that they believe the team can salvage something from the game. I don’t think that was evident.”

On-loan midfielder David Martin could return to the Notts County squad for the trip to Rochdale.

A groin injury has limited Martin to just three appearances since his arrival from Derby at the turn of the year.

His last first-team outing was in a 1-1 draw against Walsall at Meadow Lane on February 2.

Despite Martin’s possible return, Notts’ injury crisis shows little signs of easing.

Defenders Carl Regan (ankle and thigh), Krystian Pearce (head) and John Thompson (hamstring), midfielders Alan Judge (foot), Lewis Gobern (knee) and Ricky Ravenhill (ankle) and forwards Lee Hughes (hip), Ben Burgess (hamstring), Karl Hawley (thigh), Craig Westcarr (knee) and Kevin Smith (foot) are all likely to remain on the sidelines.
