Scunthorpe striker Gary Hooper is an injury concern for the trip to struggling Peterborough in the Championship on Saturday.

The former Southend frontman injured his ankle in the midweek victory against Newcastle and will undergo a late fitness test.

If Hooper misses out, boss Nigel Adkins could opt to play Paul Hayes as a lone striker or Jonathan Forte could get the nod to play in attack.

Michael O'Connor returns from suspension, but Martyn Woolford will be hopeful of retaining his place in midfield after scoring both goals in the 2-1 triumph over the Magpies.

Midfielder Josh Wright came through Tuesday's game unscathed after picking up a knock last weekend and the former Charlton man is expected to start once again.

Ben May (ankle) and Kenny Milne (knee) are still sidelined through injury.
