On-loan Leicester City defender Harry Worley is back in contention for Crewe ahead of Wednesday's League Two clash at Chesterfield (7:30pm).

The centre-half has not featured for the club since injuring his ankle in October but is now fully fit although he is likely to start from the bench having not played competitively for nearly two months.

John Brayford and Matthew Tootle both featured in the win at home to Burton and caretaker manager Dario Gradi may not wish to change a winning formula.

Midfielders Steven Schumacher and James Bailey were expected to be fit for this match against Chesterfield, but miss out once again having not recovered from respective calf and groin injuries.

They join Shaun Miller, who is also sidelined with a longer term groin problem.
