Bolton boss Owen Coyle is waiting on several late fitness tests before hosting his old club Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Mark Davies, Ricardo Gardner, Gavin McCann and Matt Taylor are all battling slight injuries ahead of what promises to be a heated Reebok Stadium encounter following Coyle's defection to Bolton.

United States midfielder Stuart Holden is poised to sign with the club, but is nursing a thigh injury and is unlikely to play any part.

Danny Shittu is still away on African Nations Cup duty with Nigeria.
