Chesterfield manager John Sheridan welcomes Frankie Artus back from suspension for the clash at Port Vale in League Two on Tuesday night.

The on-loan Bristol City midfielder has completed a one-match ban following his sending off in the 1-0 win at Morecambe.

Wade Small should retain his place in the squad after recovering from a knee injury in time to be an unused substitute in last weekend's 2-1 win over Lincoln.

But the Vale Park clash is likely to come too soon for Drew Talbot (ankle), while fellow striker Jack Lester is set to see a consultant this week as he continues to battle against a knee problem.
