Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi has no fresh injury worries for the Railwaymen's clash against Chesterfield at Gresty Road on Wednesday night.

Mat Mitchel-King is hoping to return to full training on Thursday after having struggled with a troublesome back problem in recent weeks.

The club captain has missed the last five games with a sprained ankle but his back has been causing him the most discomfort of late.

Striker Calvin Zola (hamstring) is also not ready to return to action but should also be back in training on Thursday.

New signing Danny Gardner was an unused substitute in Saturday's 3-2 win over Northampton and the teenage striker is expected to retain his place in the squad, but midfielder Steven Schumacher remains sidelined with a back problem.

Gradi's men will be looking to extend their two-match unbeaten run in League Two following victories over Burton and Northampton.
